Eligibility: Male candidates who have successfully completed intermediate, engineering or graduate examination can apply for officer’s post.
UPSC is authorized to conduct recruitment exam for commissioned officer in Indian Army.
10+2 via NDA
Eligibility: Minimum age limit is 16.5 years and maximum is that of 19 years.
Exams are hold by UPSC two times in a year in all the major cities. Selection Board of State conducts interview process for the same. Notification for vacant position is published in all the popular newspapers of major cities as well as website of the recruitment cell.
Direct Entry for Graduates
Eligibility: Age limit range between 19 to 24 years having graduation degree at university level
CDSE that stands for “Combined Defense Service Examination” is a competitive exam of all-India level conducted by UPSC in one year. After successful completion of written test and interview conducted by SSC, candidate can join Military Academy for pre-commission training. After final selection, joining of candidates in military academy is done on the basis of their ranking in merit list.
Direct Entry For Engineering Graduates
Eligibility: For engineering graduates, minimum and maximum age is 20 and 27 years respectively
After successful completion of interview, engineering graduates can join Military Academy of Indian Army directly.
Entry Scheme at University Level
Eligibility: Age of the applicant should be less than 18 years and should not be greater than 24 years. All the engineering students either in final year or in the third year can apply.
All such candidates are eligible for technical branch or other service in Indian Army.
PCM Group for Tech
Eligibility: minimum age requirement is 16.5 years and maximum age should be 19.5 years. Candidates must have passed intermediate exam from PCM background. Candidates can apply directly to the address of recruitment officer.
Eligibility: Age of the candidate should be greater than or equal to 30 years and should not be more than 35 years. At the time of filing application, candidate must be serving OR, JCOS or NCOs. They must have possessed secondary level qualification from Army School from CBSE pattern. Candidates are selected after successful completion of written test, screening and interview.
Short Service Commission
If you do not want to pursue a long-term career in armed force of India, SSC gives you an opportunity to serve Indian Army on short-term basis. You can also join Indian Army as a commissioned officer and serve the nation for a period of 5 years. At the end of service term, you will be given an opportunity to choose for permanent service term. Alternatively, you can go either for permanent term or for another 5-year term. All these conditions are applicable for women candidate as well.
